Dr. Shipra Gupta, Assistant Professor, Oral Health Sciences Centre, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, has been awarded the Dr. Charanjit Singh Saimbi Award 2022 for outstanding work done in the field of Dentistry (Periodontology) by National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS, India).
Dr. Gupta is the first periodontist to receive this felicitation as it was recently instituted by NAMS in the year 2021.Subject of her award winning paper was “ SARS CoV-2 detection in gingival crevicular fluid”. The award consists of a citation, a medal and a cash prize and was awarded during the62ndAnnual Conference of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMSCON 2022) held from 11th-13th November 2022 at Jaipur.
