The delegation of Sanitary Installation Workers Union, Chandigarh, led by Joint Action Committee convenor Ashwani Kumar, met Superintending Engineer Public Health Rajesh Bansal in support of the demands.
Ashwani Kumar told the superintending engineer that 9 daily wage employees have been regularized by the Departmental Promotion Committee but the employees have not yet received the orders to become regular. The superintending Engineer assured that the order of promotion will be issued soon.
The delegation further told the Superintending engineer that there are vacant posts for chargeman in the department, those posts should be filled soon by giving promotion to the employees. the vacant posts of chargemen should be filled soon.
Superintending Engineering said that soon the chargeman’s case would be sent to the Departmental Promotion Committee. The delegation also said that the daily wage employees should also be regularized.
Apart from Ashwani Kumar, the delegation included President of Sanitary Installation Workers Union Kuldeep Singh and General Secretary Nachhatar Singh.
