Chairperson DPC Prabhjot Kaur Hands Over Sanction Letter of Rs 5 Lakh Grant to Gram Panchayat Kurara
SAS Nagar, October 5:
Chairperson, District Planning Committee (DPC), SAS Nagar, Er. Prabhjot Kaur today handed over a sanction letter of Rs 5 lakh to Gram Panchayat Kurara under the Untied Funds of District Planning Committees/District Specific Schemes for the financial year 2024–25.
The grant has been sanctioned for the repair of the SC Dharamshala and development of a park in the village. This initiative aims to strengthen local infrastructure and provide improved civic amenities to residents.
Chairperson Er. Prabhjot Kaur said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the holistic and inclusive development of rural areas, ensuring that every village gets the necessary infrastructure support for community welfare. She added that transparency, accountability, and timely execution will be ensured in the utilization of funds.
She further handed over the sanction letter to the Gram Panchayat representatives to initiate the development works immediately.
Present on the occasion were Sarpanch Mukhtiar Singh (Block President, AAP), Gurpreet Singh (Coordinator, Nasha Mukti Morcha), Surinder Singh (Mataur), Advocate Amarjit Singh, and other respected members of the village community.
