Chandigarh Red Cross Organises Blood Donation Camp at U.T. Secretariat
Chandigarh, June 30, 2026:
The Chandigarh Red Cross Society organised a Blood Donation Camp at the U.T. Secretariat Building, Sector 9-D, Chandigarh today.
The camp was inaugurated by Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Engineering, Chandigarh Administration, and Sh. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Chandigarh Red Cross Society. They were welcomed by Ms. Punam Malik, Nodal Officer-cum-Superintendent, Chandigarh Red Cross Society.
A blood collection team from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Dr. Ravneet Kaur, Director Principal, GMCH-32, was present throughout the camp to facilitate blood collection and ensure the smooth conduct of the donation process.
Other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration including Sh. C. B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, along with Superintending Engineers and other senior officials of the U.T. Secretariat, were also present on the occasion and encouraged voluntary blood donation.
Vishvas Foundation extended valuable support by providing refreshments and gifts to the voluntary blood donors, contributing significantly to the success of the camp.
The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response, with more than 50 units of blood collected from voluntary donors.
The Chandigarh Red Cross Society expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all the voluntary blood donors, the GMCH-32 team, Vishvas Foundation and all officers and officials whose support and participation made the camp a success.
