AAP honours former Mayor Kuldeep Kumar for Chandigarh’s Swachh Survekshan success
Party credits achievement to teamwork and cooperation with alliance partners
Chandigarh, July 17:
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday felicitated former Mayor Kuldeep Kumar at the party office here after Chandigarh secured second position in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 survey in the 3–10 lakh population category.
The honour was presented by AAP Chandigarh president Vijaypal Singh and general secretary Omkar Singh Aulakh, who acknowledged Kuldeep Kumar’s leadership during his tenure as Mayor and the collective effort that led to this achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijaypal Singh said, “This recognition is a proud moment for Chandigarh and for AAP. Under Kuldeep Kumar’s leadership, and with the support of our dedicated councillors and alliance partners, the city has delivered outstanding results in cleanliness rankings.”
He further added that the success reflects the “teamwork and cooperation extended by AAP councillors along with alliance (Gathbandhan) partners, including Congress MP Manish Tewari.”
Omkar Singh Aulakh stated, “The second rank in Swachh Survekshan proves that when political leadership works with honesty and collaboration, big changes are possible. We are committed to achieving the number one position in future.”
Former Mayor Kuldeep Kumar expressed gratitude and said, “This accomplishment belongs to every citizen, every councillor, and all those who worked tirelessly as a team. I dedicate this success to the people of Chandigarh.”
The event was attended by several AAP councillors, office bearers, and senior leaders, who reiterated their commitment to strengthening Chandigarh’s cleanliness and civic standards.
